Saturn Cafe Berkeley

I've tried many dishes here and it is very hit-or-miss. The theme seems to be skimpy portions for a high price tag. That being said, I do HIGHLY recommend the vegan milkshakes. The brunch here is also excellent. Otherwise, there are better vegetarian restaurants in the area to get dinner at.

As an avid meat eater and milk and eggs consumer, I was a little skeptical about Saturn. But it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The pancakes were sweet and fluffy, though not too much, and I couldn't even tell they were vegan. The breakfast burrito with egg and sausage was filling and perfect. The coffee was amazing, organic, and fair trade. The wait was the perfect length. It wasn't too pricey. Staff was warm and welcoming. My favorite part, though, was the aesthetic. Perfectly retro and bright. Definitely coming again.

Decent coffee and apple pie. (It did take a while for the apple pie to come out, they had it warmed up in the oven for quite a bit and the front filling was still a bit cold) But five star services! The waiter was helpful, respectful, enthusiastic and always had a sincerely smile.
