Very cute atmosphere, the ham quiche was sooo good. The employees there are delightful, very warm and friendly. Will definitely return during our stay at the Claremont.
East Bay Provisions is a lovely breakfast & lunch restaurant at The Carriage House Entrance of The Claremont Hotel in Berkeley. The staff is wonderful and they actually remember their customers by name! We had delicious breakfasts and lunches as well as delicious coffees, lattes and tasty cookies.
I only want to go now when this one person is working because he made the best iced americano ever and let me add my own oat milk with a little cup on the side but this morning I went and it was a different guy and he just ran the shot over ice and maybe water I didn't see and then just poured a bunch of oat milk on top and the drink was super watery and bad and he acted like I wouldn't notice that he made me a watery latte and not what I ordered. The business needs to work on drink consistency and consistency amongst their attitude towards customers. Moral of the story, go to provisions in the afternoon when this one rlly nice bald guy (but nit the bald guy with the beard) is working if u want great coffee.
Service is extremely friendly here, I’ve never had a bad interaction with the staff. The coffee served is Equator coffee which is not too bitter but not too bland; just the way I like it. The pastries are massive and so good. I definitely would recommending allowing yourself this treat.
The decor here is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and they have a wonderful window that allows you to look outside and on a clear day, you can see San Francisco. There are chairs inside but there are lawn chairs set up outside that you are welcome to sit on. The only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because a latte was $7 which to me is overpriced. And yes, I know it’s overpriced because it’s the Claremont but I think $7 for a coffee is a bit outrageous. Other than that, I would definitely come back again.
In terms of parking, I was able to park in the parking lot and there was plenty of parking here.

Originally, I tried to go to the super famous bakery down the street, but it was incredibly crowded so I came here. I ordered the chocolate au pain croissant, and it was absolutely delicious! So filling and so tasty.
