Hotel Shattuck Plaza

The bed and pillows were AMAZING. The room was beautiful and clean and everything in the room was set to perfection. Location couldn’t be anymore perfect!

Amazing location with numerous delicious restaurants and lively bars within a very short walk. The University of California, Berkeley is only a couple of blocks away as well. The staff is friendly and accommodating including the bartenders and servers in the first floor restaurant Zino. The rooms are nice, clean, and updated but not exactly spacious which is to be expected in a hotel over 100 years old. The layout of the floors can make the hallways a long and winding walk to or from the elevator but absolutely helps to reduce noise. The best review I can give is that I stayed here for a quick business trip but absolutely will find time to return for recreational purposes.

Cannot say enough about this hotel. The staff are always wonderful, the bar is fun and the rooms are clean and comfy. Location cannot be beat - close to bars, restaurants and BART for quick trips into the city!

This is a lovely hotel in the heart of Berkeley. The room, while small, was nice and comfortable. The absence of bottled water into the room was one missing element they need to correct. The service was excellent. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was nice though the menu selection wasn't what I was looking for. The food however was good. I'll stay here again.

Great location, the building looks great the lobby is fantastic. The rooms are really nice and have plenty of room. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. My only two issues are there's no fridge in the room, and the A/C in my room hardly worked (even called to have someone take a look). It wasn't just my room either, another co-worker had the same issue. Overall it was a great place.
