Sierra Nevada Torpedo Room

Calm atmosphere and good music in a gentrified neighborhood under the old University overpass. Tastey food at great prices, the staff is super nice, and it has all of the beers you want .

I love Sierra Nevada, but the bartender shorted our growler fills significantly. For some of the fills, you’re paying $25 for a 32oz growler fill, and she left about half the bottle as foam on both our 32oz and 64oz fills. She was either lazy or didn’t have a clue how to properly fill a growler (this was on a Sunday at around 2pm). The beer was great, the food was good, but the service was very lacking. I’m a Chico alum and I always loved the brewery up in Chico, I’m disappointed that the quality of service was not the same at Torpedo room.

The staff is knowledgeable about what is available and totally friendly. Open to conversation about all things Sierra Nevada. Fantastic on tap selection including a couple rotating local taps. Keeps things interesting and not restricted to just the brewery.

They have a good selection of paraphernalia to boot. Got some Otra Vez chapstick and although it’s made with not so wonderful sunscreens, it is pretty nice.

The new outdoor balcony area adds a nice touch. Worth a visit or several.

I came here for a few rounds of SN brews and really enjoyed my visit. The taproom was clean and nicely decorated. They have large front windows which give it a nice, open feeling.
