Truly one of the best restaurants in the Bay. Incredible food, wonderful staff, and a great mission. Never been disappointed by anything here!
We love Standard Fare’s delicious, locally-sourced foods, and the industrial setting is lovely. Try their scones, or an oat milk latte. Just a warning that their breakfast menu is pretty light and more substantial and hot meals are available at lunch.
Chef Kelsey Kerr still nocking it out of the park! Perfect bacon! Perfect waffles, light and soft with a nice little crunch to the edges.
I have only been here twice, but both times have been fairly stellar. First, it's a simple concept - open kitchen and bakery area with a counter to place your order. Some indoor seatingat a bar by the window and an adjacent room. There's seating outside, which I prefer here (a rare instance). Moreover, the food is too good and too well priced for the quality. Get a sandwich, the salad, or the sandwich salad (that turn the sandwich ingredients into a salad - it's wonderful). The soups are very good, too. I also recommend the coffee and espresso drinks, as well as the baked goods. If I'm in Berkeley, and I want a substantial lunch, find me here.
What a lovely space to grab a bite to eat and enjoy watching the process of the fare being made. I had an egg sandwich and some coffee and my girlfriend had a sticky bun and chai. Everything was fresh and delicious! If your in that area definitely stop by.
