Knudsen's Restaurant-Ice Creamery

I'm not sure why such high reviews. Went in today and the place was very busy on a thursday night, many families eating together. The inside reminds of a glorified Dairy queen. I waited in line to order ice cream but wasn't really acknowledged and wasn't sure if I was at the right place. The burger patties looked small and flat -

My ice cream was good, everything comes in the big tub - I was hoping for fancier ice cream since they have the word "ice creamery" in the store name. It tasted like something I can get from a grocery store, not sure if I want to pay the price of a 1/2 gallon for a cup there.

This place is very popular. It's a great place for family gatherings especially birthday parties and such. The ice cream is good. The service could be slow at times

Great Family run business...
Great Ice Cream Sundaes and the usual comfort food like burgers, grilled sandwiches, fries...etc.
They are always accommodating to dietary restrictions and allow substitutions.
Friendly staff..fast...clean... reasonably priced family fun for the East Bay

great place! Family friendly, tons of hand made ice cream, comfort food (American style), a sweet shop in the back, some coin operated cars for the kids right up front.

Toys line the walls to be purchased for the little ones. And it's spacious, not crowded like many other places. Ample parking in the back. Big thumbs up.

Surprising sandwich diversity. Vegetarian and omnivores were happy. Grilled spinach and mushroom cheese sandwich was just the right amount of cheese. Perfect for a quick bite doing chores on the Blvd. Great place for kids...actual small rides for them. Be warned..... Ice-cream! And home made candy .... sugar up.
