“Delicious! The rice is what you want, fluffy and not mushy. Yummy fish and toppings. The pickled cucumber, shiitake mushrooms and picked daikon have great textures and flavors. The server was kind, generous with time (my first time there) and made my order how I requested (put all fish and toppings to the side so my child can have some pristine rice). She seemed to genuinely care about my eating experience! I cant wait to come back!”

“Great food and generous portions! I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo of my food. They have an affordable special going on right now for like $10 you get chow mein or rice plus two entrees. My husband and I both got chowmein. It had good flavor, green onions and wasn't too greasy. The noodles were cooked perfectly. My husband got Sichuan spicy chicken and it was so flavorful and very spicy! The sweet and sour chicken was delicious with perfect breading and flavor! I had the mapo tofu that was cooked to perfection where it was more chewy on the outside but soft on the inside. The sauce was soooo good!! Also had the beef & broccoli, I like that they made sure to put large beef pieces! We shared a BBQ beef bun and soup dumplings which were delicious.Overall great food and good service. We went to eat it upstairs on the stools and fully enjoyed our delicious lunch.”

“If opportunity arises, drop into CV Marketplace... especially Oculto restaurant on the second floor... excellent menu with a variety of wines and cocktails and attentive staff. Family friendly place but also good for couples and the lone ranger. Enjoy!”

“Hector welcomed us as if we were part of his family and made us a pot of fresh coffee. There is plenty of parking, the restaurant is traditionally decorated and extremely clean, there’s minimum wait to be served, the portions are pretty big: delicious Guadalajara cuisine taste, I just hope they introduce pan dulce or some more desserts besides flan to the menu other than that our first time visiting was great. Thank you for your warm smiles.”

“New Indian restaurant in Castro Valley - delectable food, great ambience and service. The food is very well presented and is lip-smacking!!! It is not a run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant, the menu is selective and the food really delivers. A must-try spot!”

“Much larger variety than they had on Jackson. Hard to find specialties with a small but good selection of wines from Europe and Middle-East. Some bulk spices and herbs. Friendly staff and a very clean space.”

“This is a very unique luckys location and not like the bigger ones that are in Dublin, San Lorenzo, and Alameda. It has that traditional mom & pop grocery store feel to it, and that's that I think makes this particular location so special. Ps: they got the best grocery store fried chicken and fixings, and the employees were pretty nice to me yesterday, and they sure do treat people well!”

“We usually only come here for special events where they do a set menu and wine pairing. Last one we went to was Hawaiian themed with a live band playing Xmas music island style. We always have a good time. It's usually fairly intimate and each dinner has about 20-25 guests. Just follow Castro Valley Marketplace on social media to get notified about these events.”

“Pizza the Bay may not be for everyone but if you like the thin crust style, with toasted crust edges style with top notch ingredients you will really, really like these pies! The Calzone is amazing as well... Had a really excellent Caesar salad too... Also of interest to some, they have really tasty cocktails available from the bar next door. I really have mixed emotions about posting this review because once people start to discover this little gem, it is going to be a very long wait to get in...”

“I got BBQ meal regular size. Side foods and corn bread made me full. I wish they would offer more meat instead of 2 sides and bread. Tasty food. Very popular place. Avoid peak time or order ahead of time online. There are indoor and outdoor tables. Food menu has variety, sandwiches, BBQ meal...”

“Just so everyone knows, This place is a co-kitchen with ramen 101. You cannot order in person. You have to order online and pick up to eat there or to go. I ordered the Three Taco sampler. It came with a lot of meat. Each item tasted pretty good. My favorite was the one with jalapeno sauce. The price is a little high, but I would come back again to try the other items.”

“I recently visited this Mexican market and restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a truly authentic Mexican atmosphere that made me feel like I was back in Mexico. The market had an impressive selection of traditional Mexican goods and ingredients, including fresh produce, meats, and spices that you can't find anywhere else. I was also impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the market, making it easy to navigate and find what I was looking for. Now, let's talk about the restaurant - the food was absolutely amazing! I tried a few different dishes and each one was bursting with authentic Mexican flavors that truly transported me to Mexico. The portions were generous, and the prices were more than fair for the quality of food. What really set this place apart, however, was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure our experience was nothing short of perfect. They even offered us suggestions on what to try, which only added to the overall experience. Overall, I highly recommend this Mexican market and restaurant to anyone looking for a truly authentic Mexican experience. Five stars all around - you won't be disappointed!”

“Delicious food at a good price..!! I took my family and we had a nice time, the service was good, fair price but above all very rich. Note: be careful with the sauces 😅 there is one that is very itchy...!! Raise dead 🤣😊👍🏻”

“About $25 a person after tip. Fresh food and perfect balance of flavors and textures. I did enjoy the whole experience and will be back for more. They even had some gatcha coin op machines for the kids. The tables were clean and the staff were more than helpful and they actually had a pair of food scissors available.”

“Here is the way Gyro Plate (Beef, lamb )Gyro looks like. High price is expected because the area is beautiful. The plate was decorated nicely but after eating it , i was not impressed. It might be healthy, but the taste is average. And, i do not know if the food supposed to be hot or cold. It was slightly warm. That might be the reason why it was not as tasty as it could be. There will be nothing to remember about their food the next day. It is very nice inside the restaurant and employees are very helpful. I think this restaurant is a little bit overrated. I never tip until i finished eating the food and sit for awhile in the restaurant's environment to see if i really like it.”

“I knew they were still in the soft opening phase, so I requested if they can do a custom takeout order for my husband’s birthday. They were very accommodating and friendly. We were impressed by the quality of their fish, especially tuna. This will definitely be our go to place without driving hours into the SF city to have an decent omakase experience. Can’t wait to join their service in person! :)”

“This Starbucks has killer barista's. Even with this Covid-19 going on, they still nail it.”

“This was actually a pretty nice Starbucks! It's tucked away in a quiet open-air retail plaza, but was still easy to find from the street. The store itself is spacious and has quite a few tables of various sizes and configurations; even though it was quite crowded, I had an easy time finding a place to sit and work for a bit. The baristas were efficient but perhaps could have been a bit friendlier by giving a smile when greeting customers. The one major downfall is the cleanliness of the store. The available tables were covered in crumbs, the drink prep area where the baristas work seemed to be much dirtier than at other stores.”

“Solid 4. Service was great. Loved the ease of ordering. The egg was incredible. Good amount of meat!! Minor negatives: Broth was slightly bland (tonkotsu + black garlic) and noodles weren't ramen noodles (more like spaghetti). I'm definitely going back. Super nourishing, and can add spice for more flavor.”

“The girl at the front counter was very nice and bubbly. This was my first ever visit to a Vitality Bowl. I chose the Dragon bowl (no bananas) and added coconut shavings. A little pricey but worth it for a fresh, healthy breakfast”
