Hot Italian

The pizza was amazing. The stuff was friendly but not very professional. They seemed to want to do well but not sure what they were supposed to do and when.

Chairs are old and supper shaky (broken?..) and the tables could have been a bit cleaner. Also, it’s cold there.

I might go back for that pizza, but the place needs some new chairs and better cleaners.

Also, when you say “may I have this to go” if would be nice if they took your plate and boxed the food for you, rather than brought out the boxes for you to fiddle with them. This lack of courtesy kind of gives it a fast-food vibe. The prices are far from fast food, though.

It’s so freaking good that I come every single time I come to town. The hot oil instead of crushed red pepper is a delicious alternative. The bartenders could be a little more friendly. They were ok. A friendly bartender will make mediocre food seem great. A fantastic bartender makes a restaurant have lines out the door. I can’t come down on the review for the bartender’s less-than-average service because the pizza is so out of this world delicious. I don’t know how the table servers are, but 5 out of 5 times I’ve been there, the bartenders are slugs. But damnit! The food is delicious!

Quick and friendly service. Atmosphere was pleasant although few were there for lunch that day. Pizza was alright. But it's a chilly place in winter. (California does not heat many buildings very well.)

Decent pizza and ambiance but super slow service. It’s unclear when you walk in if you’re supposed to order up front, wait to be seated or seat yourself. We just seated ourselves but then it took like 10 minutes for someone to talk to us. Same thing for getting the check, took forever and had to flag someone down twice before we got it.

It was pretty good. The grilled veggies were amazing. The olive oil selection is wonderful. The pizza, was good which sounds like a bad review but isn't. Pizza should be amazing or not done at all. This was good enough that I would go back.
