Update (10/7/23) they seem to have closed? Never answer phone and the street signs have not been there. Shame, I really wanted them to succeed.

Great new Chinese restaurant! I walked in off the street and ordered to go. Nice lady taking orders told me their name is China Kitchen. Replaced the old Pinche Tacos location on High @ Virginia

I got an order of spicy house chow mein & pot stickers and they were both great. In fact that's the best chow mein I've had in a long, long time. The meats (chicken, beef, BBQ Pork, and 2 shrimp) were cooked perfectly and all were tender (no gristle) and super flavorful. The chow main noodles were chewy exactly how I like them (they are often overcook and soft). Had nice level of spice. This dish was firing on all cylinders.

Pot stickers had a nice thin wrapper, tender and succulent filling.

This appears to be their soft opening, no signage inside or out, they don't even have their own printed menus yet and are just using another restaurants but whatever: I'll be back.

This place used to be fantastic but it’s been closed and unavailable for weeks now on Uber Eats and all the other delivery apps. It says it’s open but it’s not, and the call doesn’t even connect if you try to call them. Weird and very sad as I loved the food! I hope they open back up soon.

Fast, good food and clean! It's one of my favorite places in Oakland. We order from there often at Grand Ave Barber Lounge 934 w Grand Ave Oakland

My 11 year old son really wants to see China Kitchen succeed. Here's his review:
The China Kitchen food was amazing! Their Sweet & Sour Chicken was so good.Their sauce was flavored perfectly. They had tender chicken. Their garlic chow mein was also very good. The noodles were delicious with the right amount of salt and cooked to just the right amount. China Kitchen is one of my top 4 food spots in Oakland.

Small hole in the wall spot with no table seating . I got honey walnut prawns, chicken and string beans, steamed rice, and beef chow mein for $40. Food was great. Seems good Chinese food is hard to find in Oakland lately. I like the quality of the chicken and beef. If I had to improve something, it would be adding vegetables to the chow mein, but I'm not subtracting a star for that. I'll just ask if they can add veggies next time because I'm definitely be going back.
