“I had the fish and chips and I gotta tell you, it was delicious. The fish batter has some interesting spices in it that are subtle but excellent. The "chips" on the other hand could have been finely sliced hard cardboard. I didn't care for the cole slaw though it did have a nice pink color. They serve Mexican coke, high in cane sugar. They also have a very popular selection of beer. The view is nice, seating comfortable and there is a quirky interior. Check out the bottle chandeliers. This place has been here in one form or another for years, this iteration is pretty good. It is hipster safe, so bring your fedora, beard and sip a beer looking hip. I would definitely go back and have the fish and chips, for the fish, again.”

“I love Burma Superstar. I have been to quite a few locations, first time at the Oakland spot and the food was just as expected. We were seated pretty quickly, food came out fast and was very flavorful. As always, the tea leaf salad was top notch, the mango chicken juicy and delicious, and the dry-fried green beans tasty with a light spice. Highly recommend. Note that this location does get a bit loud.”

“Delicious! I got Bibimbap with chicken and a mung bean pancake. Came in a stone bowl, with authentic Korean side dishes and pickled vegetables. Really good grilled chicken, and the mung bean pancake was wonderful. Came with good house made sweet soy sauce. slow service, but worth the wait!”

“If you are in Oakland you have to check this place out! Its in the Temescal neighborhood so there is ample parking near by. The serving staff is prompt and friendly. They always greet customers with a smile and are helpful with suggestions. The menu is extensive but not expensive. I always order the Bimbimbop. They bring all sorts od wonderfulness to add. They have cocktails too!”

“The best ramen I've ever had hands down. The prices were extremely fair, and I thought it was worth every penny. The only major downside of this restaurant is the wait. My group had to wait and hour and a half to nearly two hours for seating. Once we were seated however, the service was very prompt and we got our food pretty quickly. Would definitely come here again.”

“The food is usually good. Lately they've been forgetting to season my fries, o how I detest bland food but their hot ????????♀️. Also they don't hand out receipts and almost always something is either missing from my order or I've been given someone else's order behind me. I just ordered 2 days ago and had 4 meals, 2 side sandwiches, 2 small Chili's. Well the lady hands the drinks over and there's 3 I'm like excuse me I ordered 4 meals. She looks like oh your right, it's coming up as if they have to cook the lemonade. No you forgot it, she made it but still. I've ordered the 4 for $4 and gotten home and have no nuggets or only 2 out of the 4. Quality control people and make sure you get that receipt and check how many meals they charge you for. I've ordered 3 and been charged for 4 in the past. Make sure to ask for chili seasoning too because I didn't even know they had it until last year when a girl working the drive through asked if I'd like some. I'm 34 and never knew they had chili seasoning packs and it bumps the chili up a few notches. So check if fries are seasoned, receipts given, actual food you receive is what you ordered and you'll be good to go.”
