The Original Mels Diner

We stopped by here as a recommendation from a local. The place was super busy even late morning or for an early lunch. The food we delicious. The kids meals came in a paper car and the portions for my meal was more then I could eat. You can pay and play music from each table. It was a neat atmosphere.

Blast to the past! 50's jukebox, photos of James Dean, American graffiti. Food great, seasoned, hot. Had the Patti melt, delicious!
Kids had root beer floats, and shakes. Kinda pricey, but fun family place with no rushing to leave.

This is a really cool place ....50's 60's styled diner. Jyke box controller on your table.
VERY Friendly staff. Service is very good and attentive. Food is diner style... you can tell that fresh ingredients are being used and they are not low grade.
Food comes to your table hot..... you know the way your Wife or Mom brings your food.
Burgers are very good..... and in 54 years I have ate A LOT of burgers. Breakfast plates are very good too.... and big.
The different people I have ate there with were very happy and liked whatever they ordered also.
Restrooms...... Super Clean.......
If you try this place I know like me, and many other people, you WILL go again.....

Came here with my sons on Saturday afternoon. We were seated very quickly. After go through the menu, I ordered my favorite dish, which I would order every time and everywhere that I see on the menu, chicken fried steak country style. It comes with 2 sides order. I picked chicken noodle soup and mashed potato. The chicken noodle soup was just so so nothing to write about. The chicken fried steak was also so so. I personally think the one at Denny's taste better. Service: the waitress that take care my table is a very nice lady. However, after I finished my first cup of hot tea and I wanted to refill, she was nowhere to be found. There were 5 waiters and waitresses behind me standing at the corner talking. I turned my head looking at them and raised my hand. No one gave me a damn. I waited for a few more minutes hoping my waitress would show up and refill my tea. Nope, she wasn't. I decided it's time to leave. Turned my head and raised my hand again, nobody responded. I walked up to the front cashier and asked for the bill, paid and headed to the door.

We had burgers. Served hot and with fries from freshly cut potatoes. Old school diner. Great server. Good price. Delicious.
