“The manager, Alex has made sure the quality of the food is outstanding and the wait time is efficient. The restaurant is clean and a great place to eat while shopping the outlets. They have good milkshakes! Lots of flavors. This is also around the corner from Burrell Field where they play everything at the sports complex.”

“I have ordered food from Kanteen couple of times. Once for my son's birthday. The Chicken Biryani was so delicious, everyone at the party liked it very much. I usually order with them for my sport events. They served us with Indian fusion food like Sandwiches, salads, sweets. They were delicious and especially the summer drink from them was out of the world. We continue to order food from them. If you want to taste different kind of foo d other then usual YOU SHOULD definitely try it out.”

“So happy this place showed up in San Leandro! I loved the Hayward location, this one does not disappoint. The McLovin sandwich is a perfect marriage of spice and savoriness with the Chipotle mayo, peppery sausage patty and gooey cheese (I got cheddar). My partner in crime enjoyed his medium roast coffee (no frills for him). He looks forward to trying the cold brew next. That fact that he wants to come again means Hippies Brew has won over my coffee connoisseur. I ordered the peppermint mocha, blended. My sweet tooth is dying so I requested 25% sweet and no mocha drizzle. I actually love that they put actual peppermint leaves in the drink! It added to the earthiness of it all and did not distract from the coffee flavor. My new favorite spot. Can't wait to bring others.”

“This has been my favorite place in San Leandro ever since they opened. The drinks are good the food is good and they have games like air hockey that you can play at no extra charge! My favorite is the ice cream crepes! And the owner is super nice!”

“If you’re trolling around looking for a place to eat and Fiji Fry House is open, drop everything and go eat there. I’ve just had one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life at FFH. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, totally sublime, and the chicken curry bowl, so so good. The curry bowl had some pickled carrots on the side that were a totally new taste for us, pickled but slightly salty. The bhajia, an appetizer, were amazing too. They have a couple of tables out front, no indoor dining. You can order for pick up or do what we did and sit out front to eat these sumptuous dishes. You may recognize the flavors as Indian but they are uniquely Fijian, something similar but not exactly the same. The guy at the restaurant is super nice, friendly and welcoming. Don’t miss this place!”

“One of the few places open till midnight. I have been trying some sushi rolls and found them to be very good. The fish is fresh and the rolls are very well made. Friendly little spot, some of the guys were singing karaoke and looked like they were having a blast. Wish I could have stayed there longer.”

“Great little Ramen shop with authentic feel. Rivals some of the best ramen we had during our recent travels to Japan. Portions were huge and all full of flavor and variety of fresh vegetables. We also added the well reviewed garlic popcorn chicken which my son said was some Of the best he’s ever had. Fries were great, perfect fry and flavor dusted with Old Bay type salt! Thanks so much, great service and wonderful quality!”

“I really enjoyed the egg rolls they were fresh and the sauce really complemented them well. I just think $10.50 is pricey for 3 egg rolls. The chicken wings were also great, very sweet and crunchy the way I like them. Only thing is I did have the Pho and it was very bland. I felt like the green onions over powered it. Could definitely use some salt.”

“I wanted to like this place but really I can't give it five stars. The shrimp are pieces of shrimp or little shrimps formed into a circle that make it look like it's a big shrimp which is weird and has a strange consistency. I had to look at it closely to make sure it was even shrimp. The macaroni salad was good I really liked it The meal I got came with the shrimp the macaroni salad two scoops of rice which I should have said don't give me cuz I don't eat the rice and steamed vegetables. The steamed vegetables were two small pieces of broccoli. So yeah I won't be back for 14 bucks this just wasn't my thing. That's what having a shrimp craving will do to you make you pick the first place you come to and then the shrimp or subpar”

“I was a bit skeptical about stopping by this spot because of the connotation of King Kong dim sum (the business that golden bay banquet took over). As I didn't have a good experience. But to my great surprise, the food has improved so much and from my understanding, they have another location in union city! For the price and flavor of the food, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. However, if you are looking for new and modern dim sum dishes I wouldn't say that golden bay would provide that experience. They have more of the old and traditional dishes. Some of my favorite items and highly recommend yall to order would be: - deep fried taro root (not vegetarian - has pork intermixed) - pan fried leek gor - baked durian puff (i really appreciate this spot's version bc usually it has a small lingering taste of bitterness at other spots but this spot is fireee) tips: - VERY limited parking so be prepared for street parking on the busy E14th street or on the side parking inside the neighborhood areas - relatively quick service id say but at the same time your ordering would be through a wipable menu with an expo marker”

“A+. Interesting menu mix. We started with the tacos and will need to make a return trip for several other items. They don’t cheat you on the portions. It is great to have great food choices within walking distance.”

“5 OUT OF 5 STARS! My wife and I live a few blocks away and she found this place by accident. Thankfully! I grew up eating Mexican food all over Southern California and I have NEVER seen anyone grill some burnt cheese on the outside seal of the burrito! It tastes delicious and the burrito doesn't bust open. Genius! Why isn't this done everywhere? My 1.5 year old loves it too, for real.”

“Food was great, but when I order Italian food with Italian salad I’m expecting Italian dressing. Who gives ranch with an Italian salad?! Unless specifically asked, you give Italian dressing with an Italian salad. Really ruined my salad. I ate it with no dressing!”

“I love this spot! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a good low key bar. Old school music, reggae, rock, TVs for the game. Tons of beer options on tap or in the Cooler and very knowledgeable bar tenders. Might be my new Sunday for the games. They only serve beer and wine, but that's all I need. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Price: 5/5 Overall: 4.5/5”

“Cozy, quaint, bright, modern place. Unique egg dishes, locally sourced produce and meats, lots to chose from. We had the french toast with chicken sausage, and baked eggs topped with portobello mushrooms with side of baby potatoes. Yum, yum, yum. French toast made with crusty bread and baked, topped with whipped cream and syrup...ah soo good! Worth the above average wait.”
