A different style of pho than what we're used to. I'd honestly say my husband I were just not the target audience but we were glad to have been able to try this "northern style" pho. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't as great as we thought it would be. Broth is as other reviews say, quite fatty and oily. The men working the front were all very nice but seemed to be disorganized as they were running all over and we had to request a few times to get water refilled. Also, it's a tad strange that we got our spring rolls last. It was a good size amount of patrons dining in this morning. We got all the food just in an unusual order. The spring roll was too much veggies for my liking, there was an abundance of lettuce, mint, and I'm just not a fan of having bean sprouts in my spring roll. Overall good experience, just not for us.
i think a lot of the reviews are not giving the pho here a fair chance because they don’t understand that this is northern vietnamese style pho and people are used to southern style foods. the green onions are an important part of the dish and balance the fattiness of the broth. and try out the thick noodles if you’ve never had them before (you get to choose thin or thick). the pho was lovely and i could taste the ginger that the beef was stir fried in.
the com tam was also great, both dishes had very generous portions. the salad was okay, definitely an american style salad. i was kinda expecting a fish sauce based dressing but it was like a chick-fil-a sauce.
owner/manager? server? were very nice. lovely man. very smiley! some dishes took a while but willing to give them the benefit of the doubt since it’s their soft opening and they’ve been open for 3 weeks at the time of the review. will be going back!
I really enjoyed the egg rolls they were fresh and the sauce really complemented them well. I just think $10.50 is pricey for 3 egg rolls. The chicken wings were also great, very sweet and crunchy the way I like them. Only thing is I did have the Pho and it was very bland. I felt like the green onions over powered it. Could definitely use some salt.
