Louie Oliver’s Restaurant and Bar - Harrah's

Louie Oliver's Restaurant and Bar is located in Harrah's Northern California open in april earlier this year. I didn't know it even existed there wasn't any advertising or newspaper headline just open without fanfare. After a quick walk-through the casino I was more interested in what their restaurant offer sometimes food in a casino is better than your local neighborhood joint. The sound and light of slots didn't appeal to me since I'm in the industry myself I can do that back home any time if I wanted in sin city.

When I spotted the empty restaurant I was a bit hesitant, but when they took down people's number I was relieved. I sign in with host then came back after being notified got seated right away. The staff are young like high school level some probably just started working while others have some experience to a degree. Service was nice, however I didn't get any utensils had to flag down another server and she was very apologetic and gave biscuits on the house.

The menu price is that of a steakhouse not including side dish. My pistachio crusted rack of lamb was delicious easy to chew tender and flavorful. I didn't even have to use my left hand as it provided enough leverage to gnarl the rest off it's bone. Jalapeño bacon wrapped scallops were also good each seared to perfection soft and indulgent definitely sea scallops not bay scallops base on their size. Wash it down with a bloody mary it was average had better bloody mary in san diego couple months ago nevertheless it is what it is. Now that dreadful drive back to berkeley.

Food was on point host very respectful and sat us fast service by our waitress Amanda was excellent she’s such a nice person took good care of us attended fast checking if food was to our standards every time this place makes me fell welcomed I highly recommend

We have eaten dinner at Louie Olivers several times and lunch once.
The food is scrumptious and generous portions. Service was great all but once ( I think someone was learning). It's a great addition to the area.
Leaving soon for dinner there tonight.
