“The food was good, but the service wasn't. Our server took our order, then came back a few minutes later to ask what we ordered. We both ordered small portions, but it looked full size when it came. We mentioned that when the food arrived and it was verified when we got the bill. Server didn't appear to believe the mistake until she saw the amount of food we were taking home. Does have the feel of a pub in Ireland.”

“BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT - see the pictures for Salmon Benedict and Cinnamon Waffles. Delicious. Fruit on the plate was excellent. It's small indoors but has a number of outdoor tables during good weather.”

“The house made chicken soup was delicious. The B.L.A.T was amazing. The bacon was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The avocado was so fresh. I loved the house made mayo. The twice baked potato was also good. Overall I enjoyed everything I ate and would highly recommend.”

“U love a good local joint and the one had a dry-sense-of-humor propieter who added to the charm of thus little place. The food was solid although the portions were a little smaller than I'd expected. But it's a great little eatery!”

“You passing through or staying in Angels Camp and want to get some grub on? This could be the best place in Angels Camp to eat. Price is reasonable and the food is good .. so .. walk around and see the frog jumping stuff all over the side walks and visit the local shops or take in a cocktail or beer at one of the locals and then treat yourself here. It's good, never had a bad meal here. Staff is friendly and it's family owned and operated. I think you'll like it.”

“Went here for my parents anniversary. I am only giving it a 3 star simply because it’s in Angels Camp and the town doesn’t have much to offer when it comes to quality food. The service was alright. Josh the server was very nice and attentive for the most part. Took a while at the beginning to get drunk refills. The food for most of us wasn’t actually that bad. The problem with it was the portions and the pricing. Portions were very small and nobody was full at the end. They also sell a children’s menu Mac and Cheese which is 9 dollars. I’m an adult and would totally pay 9 dollars for a Mac and Cheese. Unfortunately for this place, their Mac and Cheese was Kraft with a couple slices of Parmesan on top; I was pretty annoyed. They did provide an amazing desert dish for my parents for everyone to enjoy and they did a great job. It was not on the menu and they specially made it for us so that was cool. They set us up in the “library” which was cool. It’s 95 to reserve it ahead of time, but, if it’s open the day of you can get it for nothing. We didn’t pay the 95 bucks; no thank you. Anyways, back to the desert, it was REALLY good desert. The peanut butter cheesecake was amazing. The platter they made was AWESOME! My parents were very happy. Anyways, pricing is a little high, quantity is a little low based off price, and they charge 9 dollars for a dish of Kraft Mac and Cheese. And, they don’t have eggs Benedict!!!”

“This La Hacienda restaurant has very good Mexican food. It's hidden and it doesn't look like much, but once you try it, it makes you wonder why haven't I been here before. The food is very very good. The combination plates are well served and the horchata water was fresh and good. I truly recommend it to all visiting Angels Camp, CA.”

“My choice of restaurant when I would like to eat something I know instead of trying new. As I'm a vegetarian, my choices here are very limited but that doesn't deter me from visiting this restaurant. One issue I do have is that the sub-of-the-day deals doesn't contain vegetarian subs. Love the Italian herbs and cheese bread.”

“Very good Mexican cuisine. It's been awhile since I've been here and I almost forgot how good it really is. Hands down it's the best Mexican food I've had since my days of working in the Bay Area, and even then it would not take second fiddle to the food at my favorite place there. My only regret is it is not serving breakfast. Just for the record I don't think I've ever gave a 5 ???? to any place, I've truly enjoyed every dish here. Again, the food is GREAT.”

The Tipsy Frog is lovely, excellent selection of wines, owner is delightful, knowledgeable and super sweet and welcoming. Gift shop is coming along nicely as well. 18 hole golf course, complete with golf carts. Want to go back and try all the restaurants, coffee shop and ice cream stores!”

“In doing reviews, I find that not everybody can be pleased. Some have criticized the menu, pricing, selection. I saw nothing wrong with any of these things. The menu consists of small dinner fare. Pastries, oatmeal, egg breakfast platters. We had large breakfast burritos that were delicious and flavorful. The sugar free lattes were as good as any we have ever had and for the two of us with a gratuity, it was 29.00. If that's pricey to a dining customer for a full breakfast and latte, you may not eat out much. We finished eating and now are sitting in Town Square in a light rain listening to lite jazz playing over the town PA enjoying our quiet Sunday morning. Give it a try if you come through HWY 4. You will not be disappointed if you enjoy a simple pleasure.”
