“This is one of the best Indian places in the area. I'd have to go down to Berkeley for better. They have a very good selection of vegetarian, chicken, and lamb dishes. No beef. As the name implies, there is also a great selection of Indian sweets including several I haven't tried before. Party size ordering is available. I haven't used it yet, but I'm also excited that they are advertising delivery.”

“Outstanding fresh Thai and Laotian meals in El Sobrante. After two visits I know that this will be a new go-to restaurant for my wife and me. We tried the trout salad, green curry, crab fried rice, curry noodles, and the mango sticky rice. The vegetables were FRESH, and the coconut milk was flavorful. They adapted the spice to our mild preference without the dishes losing their rich flavors. The menu is large and I can strongly recommend this restaurant even if you don't usually like Thai food.”

“This is some of the best butter chicken I have ever had! So rich and creamy and buttery, with lots of spices and that little sweet note at the end! The lamb Korma is also amazing, so tender, as is the paneer matar. Garlic naan is light and crisp, but not burnt. Rice is perfectly cooked. A culinary triumph in the back of a market, complete with random ATM machine and a mop bucket. Wow! I mean, this place needs to be on the map. You have to look for the little sign at the market front, as it doesn't have it's own front.”

If you read the story it doesn’t sound true. Excellent authentic NY food makes me feel at home. Great people. Great drinks. I come here about once a month and I do it because I get great care and incredible food. I go out of my way for it. This is the kind of East Coast comfy place I wish there were more of. Try the homemade gnocchi.”

The portions are on the small side, so don't expect to bring home leftovers. Parking can be tight when the restaurant is even 2/3 full. The lighting in the booths was stylish, but designed in such a way that there was a lot of glare. OK overall, just not a favorite.”
