Perfect evening, great food, nice staff. A little piece of France. Vive Lafayette!
Love to have a date night here. In the winter they have this clay pot chicken that my hubby loves.
It was Sunday and we wanted a nice hot lunch. Concerned that they may only serve brunch on Sunday, and not seeing any indication on their website, I called Metro and asked. I was told that I could order from both the Brunch menu and the lunch menu. When we arrived and were waiting to be seated I asked if I could look at the lunch menu while waiting and was told that they only serve brunch on Sunday. When I told the hostess that I had called 15 minutes before and was told that they also served lunch she just said "sorry". We decided to stay. I didn't want breakfast and I didn't want a sandwich and there were only a couple of hot items on the menu so I ordered the fish and chips. The chips were great. The fish, which was cod, was about the worst I have ever had. It had a nice crispy crust but the fish was completely mushy. The staff were all very friendly but inexperience. Our waiter could not even pronounce Evian when we ordered water, let alone Gruyere when my wife ordered the cheeseburger. I am not complaining about that because he was so nice and everybody has to learn, right? Side note: They must make a really good Bloody Mary because almost every table had them. Maybe we will go back and try lunch or dinner or maybe not. There are just so many good places to choose from.
One of favorite eats in Lafayette. Good ambiance, great service. Drink menu looking a little less polished than it used to be. Bar missing a few essentials (a good vermouth would go long ways).
