Lively ambience...great staff...great food! Their bbq ribs are smoked to perfection. Their brisket is not dry at all...I love coming here! You wouldn’t think you’re in Lafayette when you come here. They know their barbecue to the tee! Oh and they also have a lively band on the weekends, I’ll be coming back for more!
Small place with great BBQ. Meat options include chicken, brisket, hotlinks, pulled pork, and ribs. Served seasoned and with good smokey flavor they do not necessarily need sauce, though that is available on the side. Speaking of sides the cornbread here is especially good. The last time we went they also had smoked turkey breast available but it was not on the menu so you have to ask.
Food was great! I had the three meat plate with three sides. I had the juicy brisket, pulled pork, and the hot link for the meats, my sides were the coleslaw, beans, and cornbread. The brisket looked like a good solid slice of beef, but was fall apart tender. The pulled pork was very light on the smoke, but super tender, and mixed with the coleslaw was great. The link was good, but a little bland. The beans were cooked to a perfect tenderness, and the cornbread was delicious. Washed it all down with a Shiner Bock, and I was contented. Definitely going back.
