Jack's Restaurant & Bar - Pleasant Hill

Ok, I have to say, this place is very very nice, it's clean, and friendly, but... The service was wasn't the best. Our waitress wasn't really attentive. Also I noticed that the people who got there after us (after we ordered our food) got their dishes before us. I don't know what that was about, but yeah that's why I didn't give it a full 5 star. Had we been treated better then maybe I would have given them a full 5 star. We give tip according (we're not stingy with our tipping whatsoever), and that was one of the times we had to give tips according to the service we got. Overall food was delicious the portion of protein, veggies and starch was on point, but service could have been way better...

Pretty average American food at best. Your typical fare with a wide variety of burgers, pasta, and other entree. I normally get the pot roast (looks small but very heavy and filling) and the meatloaf. The dishes came out hot and the service was pretty attentive.

Of course it was a half hour wait for a lunch on a Saturday, but I absolutely loved the"Jack's Salad"! It was the perfect size, not too heavy with dressing and I'll order it again. My daughter ordered the Shrimp Scampi and she loved it. Our server, Becca, was efficient and came back to check on our meals soon after we received them.

This is a local favorite. Love the zucchini cakes and all of varieties of Mac and cheese, excellent pastas, salads, burgers and my husband loves their salmon. We have had many good meals here and the only down size is how noisy the restaurant is. We have difficulty hearing each other. We try to get seated on the patio and go on days that are not wicked hot!

This is the first time trying this place. The food was great! Got two appetizers and split an entree with my friend. Everything had great flavor. The only thing I would have like was a bit more filling on the Spanikopita but for the most part everything tasted amazing. We had also ordered a side salad that never came but the waiter was so embarrassed that he took one of our appetizers off as well as the salad. I definitely plan on returning and trying something else. The happy hour menu looks promising so I will try to make it in for that so I can try the lamb sliders.
