Baygreens Salad & More

WC needed another quality salad place and Baygreens fills the need. Salads are good but the paninis are better. Try the steak panini or the chopped salad. Kale Caesar is average as is the Pear and Gorgonzola. Bonus points for having GT’s Kombucha on tap. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly.

Great Place!

Was really excited when I saw this place had opened in Walnut Creek town. Just finished eating and thought this place really needed a review. I would definitely recommend trying it. Aside from the fact that everyone was so nice AND I’m pretty sure it’s a small business, I love that they have a “make your own salad” option. (Of course they make it for you, but I get to pick exactly what I want in it.) I have only found one other place in the area that has this, but they don’t have ALL THESE OPTIONS! Baygreens Salad & More has SO MANY veggie options to choose from, including Broccoli and Sprouts! Having all these options are pretty standard back in NYC, but it has been a struggle for me to find since leaving. I feel I also should mention all the food at Baygreens is locally sourced and fresh, as I know that’s important to a lot of people. I had a make your own salad which was delicious! I loved that I was able to mix multiple greens together. They also let me taste test the salad dressing before I decided on the one I wanted to use. I saw they had smoothies and such available too, but I did not try these yet. I did purchase a soup, and that was delicious as well! So my final verdict is yes, I recommend trying this place. The food is very good, fresh and real.

I'm no stranger to Baygreens when it comes to health watch. This shop was born in Oakland then made it's way through caldecott tunnel to WC. I came by after a tenant check on my property nearby. It's about the same size as Oakland more trendy with fancy equipment and television. Here you get a choice of counter or table seating. You pay first and wait for them to bring it over. The owner was really forthcoming by letting me know due to ongoing situation with romaine lettuce they use butter lettuce instead. I'm glad they gave me heads up and being honest. I got me a caesar salad with anchovies, baygreens smoothie, and The Italian panini all for half price as promotion for soft opening week. Everything in my order is tasty and fresh. No complaints. If there was just a little more cheese and couple more pieces of prosciutto. I literally was full the whole day till dinner.
