Bierhaus Walnut Creek

LOVE this place!! People who work at this restaurant are authentic locals who really care about you having a great experience. Especially Sylvester! Everyone here is attentive but especially him. Thanks Bierhaus for being a staple of our WC community!

I tried out a few of their new menu items this week and really enjoyed it. Pork shoulder is as good as ever and the new white beans with olives and tarragon was a perfect side. Even better with a growler to-go. Excited to give one of their new pizzas a try. I miss sharing a Munchen beer with my friends inside, but this is still some of the best food in Walnut Creek.

We met with friends at this restaurant for a meeting. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was tasty. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. We recommend this place to all.

About as close to an American version of a German Beer Hall as Walnut Creek is likely to get. Nicely laid out with both shared and private tables, a decent selection of German beers (and served in those great glass steins!) and a small but interesting menu with some legit German items; the wursts are particularly good. Americans aren't really geared toward what a German beer hall is about, which is literally sitting around for hours doing absolutely nothing other than talking and drinking beer... LITERALLY. So if you want to try it, this is a good spot.

My husband is from northern Italy and growing up so close to Germany, really wanted to check this place out. After we read some reviews our hopes weren't high. After tasting his beer and eating our food everything was great!

I'm not sure what some people expect from certain restaurants. This is a beer hall with stellar brews and great food. Knowing it's a beer hall, we definitely went with the intention to drink beer and eat fried things and our expectations were exceeded. I can't speak to authentic German food but I can speak to simple, well prepared dishes, with bright flavors, and that's exactly what we experienced(which is hard to do when many things are fried. We were being bad, but if you're more health concious, you can eat Brussels instead of fries).

We shared the mac & cheese and I ordered a fish sandwich, and he, a chicken sandwich. That's a lot of heavy stuff, but again, the fresh garnishes and sauces made our the dishes bright and exciting instead of just rich and heavy .

The beer was phenomenal. We shared one that was light and fruity in flavor. It's a really cool place to chill, especially if you're moving in a pack of family or friends. Def worth checking out.
