36 Handles Restaurant and pub

New ownership that wants to eliminate what made this place cool which is the 36 handles challenge. The lighting is also entirely brighter and regulars from the old ownership days are being chastised.

The food was good but it's under new ownership and not quite ready for a crowd. I ordered the BLTA with upgraded garlic fries. The bar looked great. Same dark, Irish pub feel as before. Service was friendly and spot on. My guy had a beer on tap and asked about the "36 Handles" club. The new owners are upholding that but are choosing to toss out the better perks. Drink 36 of their tap beers and you get a mug. It doesn't sound as fun as it once did. Best of luck to them though. I plan on trying it again after they're settled in.

Have been there twice now. Had the signature fish and chips this time. This was a late lunch with friends. The fish was hot, but greasy. Sweet potato fries were okay. Service was friendly, but slow. Good iced tea, but never offered a refill. Not likely to return a third time.

Great beer selection. Kind staff, trivia nights are always fun! Great place for a date because of the good vibes in the air. Food is just above average, maybe they are getting better, I don't know because I go for the beer & good times & tasty waves ????????
