The food was delicious and authentically Czech! The service was excellent, welcoming and very friendly! A definite return spot when in Heavenly Village!
Was calling Eastern European food and this place had it, it was just good awful expensive. They will put themselves out of business. Fine dining prices but a modern McDonald's is more formal looking.
Entrees come with a soup and the Turkey soup was yummy (although my friend ordered the vegetable soup which I thought was a little bland). I ordered the Taste of Europe with Pork Schnitzel with a side of mushroom gravy and it was delicious! Instead of the suggested mashed potatoes, I ordered the side as spaetzle which was good except it came with green onion which I thought was distracting and overpowering.
Jayme was the only server and it was about half full, but he did a great job.
It’s always nice when you are warmly welcomed once you step into a restaurant. Our server, Lenka, was very attentive and warm and took the time to explain the dishes we were interested. We have never tried Czech cuisine outside Prague. It’s literally the first time ever we tried it in California and so we were surprised and excited to know how the food tasted like. Without hesitation, we will recommend this restaurant when you come to Lake Tahoe. The restaurant is extremely clean. Service is excellent and the food is very tasty, very good Czech flavour. We particularly liked the schnitzel and the garlic bread. Worth a try! We would give the restaurant a 4.5.
Great service and taste if you like German food.
We had the beef goulasch, sausage soup and mashed potatoes with gravy. They were all really good. I guess I'm just not the biggest fan of European food, but would recommend for anyone who does like it.
