VI Restaurant

Service was impeccable! Food not so good. I don’t usually write negative reviews but locals warned us the food would not be good and we should have listened.
Beef soup was very bland and required lots of salt and pepper.

Clam chowder was LOADED with butter and floated on top of cream and that is pretty much all you tasted.

Oysters had way too much mignonette sauce on the actual oysters. It should have been on the side. The mignonette sauce had too much vinegar.

Fish and chips: fish was dry and batter was so so. French fries over cooked and some fries were freezer burned.

Just to be clear the staff was VERY friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was charming. Food was a disappointment. In my opinion just get a drink at the bar.

We had a really good dinner, i changed my baked potato to all grilled veggies and it was delicious! My hubby had braised short ribs, bones just fell out! He said was the best he's had ever!
