Baba's Hot Chicken

I don't review as much as I should so here go's one. My wife and I absolutely love this place. The service is good they have made good on a few times. Which I'm good with that but be warned hot is hit and extrema is way to much.

I had this chicken sandwich and the mac n cheese! Seriously they make the mac n cheese look creamy but that is not the case. It was dry and clearly needed more cheese sauce. I can make better at home. i was truly dissatisfied. I have to say the chicken was not bad. I had mild which was still spicy. This place reminded me of a copy cat of that Angry Chicken place we had down here. It wasn’t anything spectacular or different about this chicken honestly speaking. I would not be in a hurry to try this place again.

Quick Summary
Located right next to Urbane Cafe and California Fish Grill, there's plenty of parking available here. Really juicy and delicious chicken sandwich and the fried pickles were great with the fresh batter!

Food- 5 stars
Chicken sandwich- very juicy chicken sandwich as they sandwich 2 thighs into here. I ordered the mild (I'm not a big spicy eater) and I was still sweating from the heat. Overall, very solid sandwich as bread, spread, coleslaw, and chicken thighs were all very good

Fried pickles- I chose this for my side and I think I made the right choice for a fried food that wasn't too heavy. Very notable that the pickles and batter appeared fresh

Service- 5 stars
The servers were very friendly and welcoming. Great service all around!

Another welcome addition to all the new fast-casual restaurants expanding into Bakersfield!

I was digging this place. You choose how hot you want to go with your chicken. Fries were excellent and the drinks were fine. I had chicken strip sandwich which was delicious. They are friendly and pretty fast. I will definitely be coming back again to BABA'S when I want to get my chicken 🐔on.. Good food good service good prices. What more could you ask for ?
