It's a place I can't rate about because I have not eaten here before. I've only tried their drinks and they are great.

I'm coming here since I was a kid. It's nice not to have to drive to Lamont to enjoy some good old salad cheeseburgers and the best fries in my eyes!! Yummmmmmmmm

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. First, the premises is a little difficult to get into, but one of those things where once you know how, it's not a problem. When I went to pay, there is signage on the window imploring me to have my identification ready when paying with a card. I appreciated the fact that they had my financial safety in mind in regards to payment. No credit card thieves will eat at their establishment if they can help it!

I ordered the Salad Burger Combo and I was quite impressed. The burger and fries were piping hot. The burger was nicely seared, but not dry, which is a problem a lot of places have with smaller patties. They put fry seasoning on top of the bun and if I'm not mistaken, the mustard was grilled. Overall a pleasure to eat; not the same burger you get at other hamburger stands.

The fries were hot, freshly fried, liberally seasoned, and a generous portion. I was quite pleased. The fry seasoning, an integral part of any good hamburger establishment, seemed to be a special recipe. Additionally, they serve their soft drinks with crushed ice; a rarity in these days of franchise restaurants.

As if the meal was not pleasing enough, the value of food you receive for the price is astronomical. They could get away with charging more than they do, but my wallet thanks them for their current menu prices. Overall, I would say I will be a frequent customer at Root Beer King.
