“A friend was telling me how happy she was with the retirement cake Bread and Honey made for her father, so I wanted to check it out. We ordered a white cake with buttercream frosting and raspberry mousse in the middle and it was beautiful and delicious! The thing that made it even more special to me was that the employee was super attentive and friendly when my mom picked up the cake for me and she even helped her take the cake to her car. “I live around the corner and it is close to go to. The workers are nice most of the time when they get to know you. They are always busy and they also have there hands full with all the homeless people who hangout there. Everyone outside either ask for spare change or a cigarette. Workers refer to the vagrants as special people. Only in Oildale are there Special people. The workers try hard to keep it clean but there is alot of shop lifters that they need to keep there eyes on at all time. It's a ok place to go . I feel sorry for the workers the deserve a raise for all that they put up with..”

They have a decent amount of food and drink, however, this location has been shut down for health concerns in the past. Not the ultimate one-stop, as there are many less than 1000 feet away just as competitive, but a good station nonetheless.”

“I work all over the state and I love coming to Vallarta markets. They have fresh homemade food everyday trip with wide variety to choose from along with the tortilla factory and potato chip factory. Today I had the beef soup refried beans and all the condiments to go with it everything is always delicious. this is one of the smaller Vallarta markets but don't be fooled the restaurant area has everything all the other ones have they also have a bakery here with fresh baked goods as well. Great place to shop there are several throughout Bakersfield and other cities throughout the state of California.”
