“Disclaimer: this place is in the EXACT SAME location as the former J's Place. They have the best chicken and waffles in Bakersfield, and the catfish is pretty bomb too. We went this evening and the place wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be. That’s a good thing because I don’t like being around a lot of folks. The food excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed. If my doctor didn’t instruct me to not eat so much fried food I’d be here three times a week. Then again… who's going to tell him…?”

“My husband picked up dinner tonight on his way home from work and I’m so glad he did! The portions were so big that we were able to feed a family of 4 with 2 plates! (We have 2 young children). My husband had the NY and shrimp and the kids and I had chicken. So good! The rice is the best fried rice I’ve ever tried and you have to try the sauce. I don’t know what it’s called but it was good!”

“We got what we paid for.. tons of fries 🍟loaded with all kinds of goodies 😋.. I had the Chili Cheese Fries. We didn't have to wait long and the service was good 😁fast & friendly. This was my first time trying this order and it would of been awesome except for the over abundance of watery cheese sauce that can literally spill out on your lap if your not careful. They delivered our food to our car so we got it fresh & Hot.. However the fries were already beginning to get so soggy you couldn't eat them separately cause they fell apart to moosh. Even though, it was still 😋delicious. If I order again I will ask for less watery cheese sauce maybe.? Or stick with their awesome BBQ chicken fries .. with fried chicken pieces. Overall I gave them a 4 star rating due to the soggy fries that was unavoidable in a watery cheese sauce. With a fork you can never get any of the cheese.? It's that runny.. If they could fix this I would get this again. But for now BBQ chicken is my favorite 😋”
