Ewings on the Kern

I really wanted this place to be better but the food was just mediocre in flavor and execution and way overpriced for what you get. There is no reason to come back here. On a good note, the staff were amazing and on point and the building and views are spectacular.

The service was exceptional, polite, and professional! We appreciated a wonderful view, overlooking the river. We had a delicious and perfectly medium rare steak and chicken sandwich. The fried pickles are THEE BEST I have ever had. We will absolutely be back, excellent atmosphere, and hot coffee.

Unmatched views from the dining room! I had breakfast, which was plentiful and good. The prices are a little on the high side for what you get, I guess because of the views.

5 Years later update! Still excellent views and service. The prices seem reasonable and service was excellent!

WOW!!! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience. We were greeted with a smile and seated in the bar area because the dining room was full. Which was great because the bartender was a delight. She made us feel very welcome. Our order was taken within 5 minutes. I had the chicken pot pie with brussell sprouts and roasted potatoes. I also tried the clam chowder and was blown away. I don't particularly care for anything from the sea but it was phenomenal. It was so flavorful with just a hint of clam. I had to know who made our fantastic meal. His name is Weston and I give him 5☆☆☆☆☆!!!
