Tina's is literally overflowing with character. Not only is the building thoroughly decorated, but Tina herself is an amazingly charismatic woman with tremendous stories of her life. Make sure to ask about how she survived as the 11th kid in a poor family in the Philippines!
The food is homemade and very delicious, with filling portions.
Depending on the season, Tina might just offer you a fresh, hand-picked guava. Take it!
Tina's is the full-spectrum antidote to the excess of chain restaurants and sanitized consumerism that plague our country. In many ways, I felt like I was back in 1910, grabbing a bite after a hard day in the oil fields and chatting with the owner.
Unique. Different. Down home. If you're looking for something off the beaten path then Tina's Diner is your stop. It's just you, Tina, and good food. Enjoy the experience.
Wonderful food and owner. Tina made us fresh salads and her Spanish sandwich all were fantastic. She even serenaded us while she cooked. After we ate she share her background and owning the diner for 45 years. We stop again when in the area.
Don't miss out on Tina's extra-special home-made hand-made sausage. Breakfast anytime make Tina's a favorite. I had an omelet. Old Dad had eggs and sausage. Fresh hash browns were crisp and delicious. A great place to eat in Maricopa. It could be the best place in town.
This is a gem. Quaint like yesteryear, food like your Grannie made. Huge portions, all handmade right down to the fries and dressings. Not sure she even owns a can opener. Locals come by for a bite and conversation. Like being at a hometown BBQ. No strangers here. Loved it!!!!
