“Food is yummy. Prices went up this late summer. Normal dinner for 2 at $55-60 if you have an appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 soft drinks. Service so-so. Little gal ran fast, because she couldn't recall -table not set (need plates please), extra salad dressing(ordered with initial order), appetizer was served after salad/soup. Never got the lemon wedges, never asked us about dessert. Great entrees, clean & tidy. Screaming toddler was another disappointment. I guess we need to stick to midday weekdays..... dining with the masses - not such fun. I gave the owner these same service notes on a reversed placemat as we left.”

“Kelly's reopened very recently after being closed for an extended time. Service was a little slow, even though they weren't that busy. My cheeseburger was good but my wife was disappointed in the grilled cheese sandwich, the cheese was hardly melted. I hope this was all do to growing pains and a new staff. We will try them again and hopefully the kinks will he worked out.”

“The Good: The food is indeed very good. The lady cooking in the kitchen knows what she is doing back there. The decor is appropriate for a sports bar and they do have several TV's to view local broadcast games on. The waitress Nicole is one of the best waitresses I have ever had the pleasure of being helped by. She shines head and shoulders above her co-workers. The Bad: The prices are quite frankly outrageous. You have to buy fries separately when you order a burger, and they cost 6 dollars by themselves. Expect to pay $20 for a burger, fries, and drink with tip. The owner seems to be a bit overbearing on his staff and doesn't have a pleasant or cheerful disposition. He is polite and respectful but not engaging with customers.”

“Kohnen's is the one of the best bakeries I've ever been to. They have the best sandwiches, and they are so big. You can have half for lunch and half for dinner and be so content. And there bakery is fantastic. My husband loves all the German stuff they have. Their lemon bars and eclairs are superb! If ever passing through Tehachapi, Kohnen's is a must!! They do not disappoint”

So my husband and I decided to celebrate their birthday by going out for a steak dinner, cause that's our child's favorite food. It was without a doubt the best steak dinner I have ever had, hands down!! The service was excellent and very friendly. From the appetizer to dessert it was 5 stars all the way. “I had never heard of this place, as l live out of town. I picked it, in part, because it has truck parking around back. I'm so impressed! The soup bowl is made with real cream, buttered toasted bread, and is delicate and delicious. The onion rings are the same, fresh, delicate texture, and some of the best I've ever had. I am a large person and had a larger persion with me who could not hit in the little fixed chairs. I find the same set up at all taco bells. Other fast food places have the pull out chairs. “Great food and affordable. The service was outstanding. My friend who I was eating with left his retainers on the table at the restaurant and completely thought he lost them for good. Mind you, this is a 1000$ item he thought he lost for good. We called tbe restaurant and they had picked up the retainers, placed them in a clean plastic bag and had put them in their office for us. The food as well was incredible and their variety of soda is mind blowing. Completely recommend if you enjoy sandwiches, tacos or a shake.”
