“Again... ive worked fast food, Upper Lakes Carl's is SO much better than Clear Lakes. Just feels managed better. Bought the A1 burger from CL & it was just bad, no thickburgers, out apparently... but barely any A1 sauce, was put together sloppily, the burger wasn't very hot... was NOT a happy camper. So took a chance, tried ULs, and they were so much more professional, the burger was made correctly to my customization, it was hot & delicious. Nowadays, it's not worth going to much places. Jack's & Mickey Ds burgers are not only small in size, but are expensive for their size. McDs 1/4 lbs are near 6 bucks, same with Jack's, at least with Carl's, for an extra $1 give or take, you get a decent sized 1/3lb thickburger. Well worth the 30+ min drive”

“Great outdoor seating and the food is excellent. However, I called to make a reservation for the restaurant and was transferred to the hotel. The hotel transferred me back to the restaurant. Poor listening skills. When we arrived we ordered an appetizer that never came. When I asked the server about it she looked me in the face and said, "You didn't order that, I don't have it written down". Again, poor listening skills and a rather rude way to respond. Service was extremely slow considering the handful of tables. I love this restaurant but the service has obviously taken a real dive.”

“Came one very hot evening, ordered shrimp cocktail. Soooooo good. SO good! Came back the next day, didn't realize they'd closed 3 hours earlier. They still invited me in, gave me ceviche specially requested by the owners (she is awesome!!!) son, It was amazing with mango, I couldn't have been happier unless I also had some shrimp cocktail from the night before. Go here. I was so satisfied by my experience.”

“I worked as a traveler at the hospital and was there for several months. When we found Vintage, I would order almost every weekend full rack ribs with that googey mac 'n cheese! It got so that they knew who we were just by our order! And let's not forget Hank's sodas! I can't find them anywhere! I'm in AZ now and I'm pretty sure I can't get them to deliver! ?. Best BBQ ever!”

“During the Covid age, an extreme level of self-interest is indicated by being picky about the service & seating accommodations anywhere at anytime (IMHO). Every one is exposed to the daily BS as you and trying to cope in their own way, so just try to appreciate being alive and being able to afford a decent meal at a decent restaurant ... and Judy's does that; plus at a decent price. We did omelettes which were fluffy and big enough to box half for tomorrow morning. Their country red potatoes were real tasty with some fried vegetables. Very convenient for those vacationing in the Upper Lake / Nice area of Clear Lake. The locals pronounce it "Niece". Therefore I hereby proclaim that Judy's Junction near Nice is nice. DISCLAIMER: Clear Lake is NOT a plush resort area. Parts of it are economically depressed and run down.”
