I walked in expecting a table considering I made a Valentine's Day reservation. Lo and behold, I made it for the wrong day. Even after we offered to sit at the bar and have some drinks until a table was ready, they made rearrangements to compensate for my stupidity. Our server, Bethany, was super attentive, charismatic and sweet. Her suggestions were perfect as well. And oh yeah, the porterhouse for 2 was perfectly tender. And double oh yeah, the mashed potatoes were the fluffiest I've ever had. It was truly the perfect Valentine's Day.
No steak knives required! We were supposed to go to Peter Luger but they "lost" my reservation, very rude! So we found De Stefano's and I'm so glad we did! We had a wonderful time. Straightforward and all-around good. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, we didn't have to wait. Everyone was nice and friendly and most importantly the steaks were everything they advertised. Excellent wine selection as well.
Love this place! As a local it is my favorite place to eat in Beverly Hills. From the bread to the John Dory fish you can't beat it. And the chocolate cake with some whipped cream or ice cream is worth dying for! The best thing about the Grill though are the people who work there. What an incredible staff! Home away from home for me!
Was heading to Ocean Prime for lunch when we detour and found this place. Glad we decided to try this place out. Our server Daniel was amazing. He knew everything about the menu and since it was our first time here, he gave us some great recommendations. You can tell the staff loves their job. Everything we order here was delicious. I order the homemade lobster bisque, cheese bread and oyster to start. One of the best lobster bisque I eaten in the west coast. Dipping the cheese bread in the lobster bisque was heavenly. Oyster were tasty as well. The main course course blacken cajun halibut was cook perfectly. The fish was moist and full of flavor. The spinach mashed potatoes was a pleasant twist from the regular mashed potatoes. I wish more restaurants would offer this option. The fresh made key lime pie was a great way to end our meal. I will definitely come back in the future to try the other items on the menu.
