Great food and service! Salmon is really good

A little gem in the adorable Claremont village! Reminiscent of South Pasadena back in the day, this fine(r) dining Italian-Amercian steakhouse is worth the drive to the outskirts of LA county. It is an island of one in the Inland Empire of Westside/Pasadena/DTLA-level service, food quality and atmosphere, minus the attitude and over inflated prices. Don't get me wrong, this place is not cheap.... but neither is the food, wine or cocktails. It is all high quality, delicious and portioned perfectly to go home full, not stuffed. The decor might be the only thing stuck in the 90s, the carpet is tired, the floor tiles are cracked here and there, but over all clean and inviting! Our server was a brunette who was on point, talked about the food and specials in detail and made our bday celebration super special(candle in their amaaaazing salted caramel gelato on the house!). The cocktails were phenom, not overly sweet and they had a super liquor selection, their wine list is the best I've seen outside LA, and our Rib Chop and Cioppino were spot on. Try their truffle mac n cheese and their fried calamari(I know, what's so big about calalmari?? Try it, you'll see...) The manager came by to check on us and she got us signed up in their VIP club(who knew?)... The icing on the cake? Very family oriented, every local knows every other local atmosphere... the guest next to us was clearly a regular and had a cake for his party and offered pieces to all the surrounding tables' guests!! Who does that? Yes, we will definitely be back!!

Just a phenomenal restaurant. Great for an anniversary dinner or an upscale/fancy event. If you're considering brunch, then do it here. Best brunch in Claremont. Their bottomless mimosas are $15, and you get a choice between cranberry, orange, or apple cider with cinnamon. Go for the apple cider mimosa. Expect about $25 per person if you're going for brunch. Definitely worth your while.

Would give 5 stars but the parking situation is a set back. Lamb chops are fantastic.

Visiting Inland Empire all the way from East Coast, we found good food but nothing really excellent until we arrived here. The pastas are imaginative and intensely flavorful. Try the ragu; you won't regret it. Nice atmosphere, friendly attentive service, interesting wine list, excellent desserts. Highly recommended.
