Walter's Restaurant, Bar and Lounge

Just discovered this place and I think it may become a regular stop on Friday night cool atmosphere live saxophone drinks a little pricey but well made, going to check out Thursday nights live band and will post a review.

My father and I have dinner at Walters every Thursday night, and we have been doing this for years. I enjoy their food as well as the people who work there. Everyone is very kind and approachable. It is a great place to have a casual meal or a formal dinner as it is a very large restaurant with many different venues. It is a good place for large parties as well.

My small plate was a meal: Cornbread with beans, salsa, sour cream. Wide variety of food- Afghan, American, etc, something for everyone. Wine and other drinks are lovely. EAT THE BREAD! Don't skip dessert, maybe share. Two patios and a room you can rent for meetings.

My wife and I were at Walter's for a 30 person meeting. I had salmon, rice and veggies, and my wife had chicken kebob. The salmon was well portioned and the rice was separated and fluffy. It was a nice meal, and the service was good. I was told that Walter's didn't have a good Yelp review. Truly, I can't understand why.

I have always really enjoyed Walter's, and tonight they went above and beyond. We were this large, unwieldy party that arrived in three segments. Having waited tables myself, I know we were a potentially nightmarish situation. They handled it beautifully! I really hope everyone tipped well, because of course we wanted separate checks; they totally deserved a giant tip.

The food, as always, was awesome. They are great with managing dietary restrictions, and there's a wide variety of food on the menu.
