This spot is worth a visit. They have big portions for convenient rates. Regularly well kept and with great mood. Will visit here again.

Great service. Every person we interacted with was very amicable and helpful. I've been here for breakfast and dinner a few times since it's close to home, and just know that the portions are huge. Bring your appetite or a friend (or both) to help you finish your meal.

The bacon they have is nice and thick, and the waffles and pancakes are yummy and have a taste of vanilla.

The waiter was really kind and understanding. The salad...well, I named it the saddest salad ever. Looked nothing like what is advertised. It was brought out with avocado, bacon, and diced tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes. Waiter didn't charge us.

I'm happy that they opened a Black Bear Diner closer to home. I have always gone to the one in Signal Hill. I stopped here for lunch and the staff greeted me quickly. The server was friendly and explained the popular items on the menu. She thought it was my first time and explained that the menu was in the newspaper. I ordered the chicken and waffles to give it a try as it's a popular menu item. It comes with syrup, one waffle, a large hand breaded chicken breast, and fruit. The waffle was hot and soft with a good sweet flavor. The chicken was okay, and it felt as it was missing something. I do want to come back to try the other dishes on the menu.
