Plant Love Food

Their red posole is out of this world. Definitely the best vegan posole I have ever had. Not only I loved it but a party of 25+ people (non vegans) loved it! The jackfruit tinga empanadas are delicious! I can’t wait to keep supporting this small business. Business owners are very kind.

Enjoyed the food and service. The food was delicious and very authentic. Especially the salsa, it was spicy and flavorful.

There's a new restaurant in the heart of El Monte that deserves more stars than I can give it. 5 is simply not enough. And if you tried the food, you will know what I mean. I met the chef/owner awhile ago and her story is inspiring. Like most of us she had a job that just paid the bills. She did it willingly and diligently for years, but it didn't inspire her. So after a series of cinematic events (stuff I will not get into here), she decided to start her own business, but not any type of business, a plant-based restaurant, with the simple goal of planting seeds of love through food. On the surface, her mission statement/philosophy might sound like 70's hippie rhetoric or a new age mantra, but if you read the statement one more time two words stick out: love and food. The two things essential to life. Take what you want from her mission statement, for me it is simply brilliant.
There's a common perception that healthy food is boring food. It is food without life, flavor, or joy. But that simply is not the case at Plant Love Food. If you love the rich flavors, and spices, and colors of Mexican food, you will love the food here. I've had the nachos, the tacos, and most recently her chicken burritos and the food is amazingly delicious. And the bonus is, it is all plant-based and healthy too. Please check this place out. You will keep coming back for more.
