Playa Hermosa Fish & Oyster Co.

Had a wonderful lunch there today, Chef Billy Lansing’s Green Curry was fabulous!!! Jasmine rice fluffy and cooked to perfection. The Vegetables were aldente, Crisp, fresh and plentiful. The curry was creamy and bright with just the perfect amount of heat. Music selection and decor create a fantastic upscale environment that gives dinners a high end fresh seafood and farm to table cuisine while still feeling like you’re in a casual beach environment..Well Done.

A dozen fresh oysters, a prosecco for her and a local craft beer for me, sunset over Hermosa Beach Pier, the plaza lively with people on a 70 degree January day. What could be better? Oh, yeah, the chef added two of their signature Peruvian scallops on the half shell in Ponzi sauce. Delicious.

I’ve been to Playa Hermosa Fish and Oyster Co. a few times and have always been impressed by the quality of their seafood. Tonight we tried the Peruvian scallops and not only were the scallops amazing but the delicate combination of flavors used were exquisite. The chef’s selection oysters were delicious and to top it off the views from the patio are grand and the staff is welcoming. The best place to get fresh seafood in Hermosa Beach. Shout out to Esteban for his gracious and attentive service!
