They usually get my food right. The chicken and waffles special is the best of the best. Super small place. If you get there after stores on Market open, street parking is a hassle. But I think there is a public lot nearby.
Been wanting to come here cause I heard about the food being good. Well that was very true. The decor is nothing to write home about but the food makes up for that. I'm coming back again to try the breakfast burger. Yummy
I live in Inglewood and finally ate here. I called in my order. I had 2 breakfasts. Grits and eggs with wings, and waffle with wings. The grits were great, and the eggs were scrambled soft as I had request. The waffle was excellent, perfectly made. Not over cooked. The full wings were golden and crisp. This is an excellent spot. Don't believe the haters, those that don't know good food, and those that are impatient. Real food that is good takes a little time. My order was ready in 20 minutes as I was told when I called in my order.
Food was simply okay for the wait. Belgium waffles aren't Belgium. Just ordinary batter placed in a waffle iron. Very small establishment with no frills. Decor was limited to a plaque or 2 on the wall and nothing else. There are only 7-8 tables and 3 of them seat only 2 people, so plan accordingly.
I've been in the area for about a year and I FINALLY walked in to eat here. I already had in mind that I was ordering Grits and Cheese, but when I saw the Shrimp and Garlic sauce over the Cheesy Grits on the menu, I knew I had to order it. If you love garlic and don't want to die at the hands of a vampire, then eat this dish!
I shared a waffle with the hubby, which smells amazing as it's being made. It's served with butter drizzled on it already. God Bless! My husband ordered the Chicken and Fries, which he made "all gone" pretty quickly.
The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the price. The quality is definitely worth the price, but at $40 for 2 people, I couldn't eat there every day. HOWEVER, I will eat there at least once a week. I'm sure as I get familiar with the menu, I'll have my regulars.
