Food with real quality ingredients. Certainly worth going back to. Prices were good for how much you get. Atmosphere is similar to a place in Columbus I loved.
First time here and the server was quite through explaining how the place is. Coffee was delicious as well as 6he berry desert. I will try breakfast one day as well as buy some of your delicious lookibg bread.
Thank you

La Brea Bakery Cafe Pie definitely filled a gap in my soul with their potato tart. It was a rush of warmth with savory goodness. The potatoes were thinly sliced and were soft as they should be. Haven't had anything like it so far. If you've got a chip on your shoulder or just need a quick perk, I can guarantee you there's something for everyone and it will not disappoint!
As good as it gets when it comes to Croissant in the US! Wow do they do them authentically. Perfect texture and flavor. Not to mention the amazing hot chocolate. A must try and an easy place to love.
Always a great breakfast at La Brea, and it's still a favorite destination, however...the table service was weirdly odd on this October morning. Like "Okay, where's the hidden camera?" odd. I'm really not a complainer, and we stayed really good-natured about it, BUT we had to ask three different servers before they brought the coffee we ordered to our table. The (great!) food showed up fine, but no coffee. Plain old coffee, nothing fancy! Each server we flagged down seemed really sincere and apologetic...but then inexplicably didn't bring us our coffee! Finally left the table to try the super-friendly host at the front door. He scooted off promptly...but then, still no coffee. Four stars because I'm forgiving and I love La Brea...but what an odd thing!
(P.S. Super-friend passed by our table at the end of our meal with an astonished look on his face and apologized that he got distracted and forgot about our coffee. Nice guy.)
