Tom's Urban

Last minute idea for dinner before the game. We had never been and decided to try it. The wait wasn't too long, especially before a Kings game and on Valentine's day. Our server Gregory was really nice and efficient. Service for our food was a bit slow, but that was to be expected. We enjoyed a great steak and their tater tots and garlic fries were delicious. The bill wasn't too bad, for steak, sides, and drinks (one of them was a delicious Cabernet) it was under $80. We'll definitely be back and I'd recommend it.

think I should first start off that we attended this restaurant after the the Elton John Show. It was very convenient as it was directly across the street. That being said the fine we arrived here was about 11:00 pm. They close at 12am. Lucky for us because pretty much everything else was closed.

We had the pancake with the chicken. I actually like this combo. The pancake seemed like it was made in a cast iron skillet. It comes out beautifully browned on the top, bottom and edges. They give you plenty of syrup to top it off too. The chicken was very fried and tossed in a hot sauce. This really is tasty and I do recommend you try this.

On the other hand the "loaded tots" weren't very loaded. They come with a ladle sized serving of nancho cheese at the bottom of the dish. The tots are placed on top of the cheese and then the bacon bits and some scallion are placed on top of that. I guess I expected it to be more loaded.

Our waitress was very nice and helpful and the place was nice and clean. There's plenty of room with easy access for a wheelchair if needed.

Food and service were excellent. The food was super delicious. I got Mac and cheese and a BBQ sandwich. The food came out pretty quick and the server was fast and responsive. I will definitely be coming back when I am visiting LA live or at a sporting event

Great location, friendly & helpful staff with an awesome selection of beers! The food is great as well! I like trying different beers like at a sushi bar! It’s fun to get a little bit of a taste of what’s available & not just drink the same ole same ole every time I hope out. Makes going to the bar more fun & adventurous!

Tom's urban is within walking distance of the staples center which was where my family and ii were at while the Los Angeles Auto Show was in town. Tom's Urban has very friendly and knowledgeable employees that really feel as if they are there not only for a tip and a weekly check. The employees made sure we knew of all of their deals and happy hour specials. Great mixed drinks. Better food. Really just a wonderful place to take your family and relax. I was fortunate enough to enjoy this place with my family. A memorable place for me to never forget. ☺ I hope whoever goes shares the same experience as me.
