Stop everything you are doing and go get these tacos! We made the drive here from Anaheim (45 min) and it was worth every mile. 3 tacos will have you full and satisfied. We each ordered the traditional potato taco and the Idol Potato and Idol Beef- Idol tacos come with chorizo frojoles on top. All 3 tacos were BOMB but my favorite was the Idol Potato. The sign above the salsas was spot on: DO NOT SKIP THE SALSA! The tacos are made for that salsa. Again- both salsas are flavorful but the verde was my personal favorite. The service here is great- willing to explain the options to a first timer like me and one employee even came out to move her car for us to be able to park in front because there was an abnormal amount of parked cars today... I thought that was above and beyond. Potato tacos are my jam- I have tried quite a few, but these were on a whole other level!
The shredded beef crunchy taco wasn't bad
Yes!!!!! Another Mexican option in the Arts District. Stopped by today to try their tacos. I had their Idol, beef and potato tacos. All of them were delicious. They are deep fried tacos. Really nice and crunchy. Their salsas are also very good. Not very high in the heat factor but a lot of flavor.
It's my regular taco lunch spot. I love the fried tacos they got and the burritos are a bang for the buck. You get a very fulfilling meal for under 10. My usual is the soyrizo burrito.
Staff is super friendly and they also have occasional deals if you order on the kiosks. They also have a neat seating area if you're into that.
Packed with flavor, quick, and affordable in the Arts District. The fried tacos are bomb, and make sure to order Idol Beef (or any modification that adds the chorizo beans). Two will do you just fine, three will satisfy your gluttony. Burrito is also good, but the Idol Beef tacos are where it's at.
Discovered two weeks ago, new favorite lunch spot, I go once or twice a week.
