(February 2, 2019, 4:13 pm)Full disclosure: not everyone would give this place 5 stars. It is a very old school Italian restaurant which reminds me of places in New York City dating back to the 1950s.
Basic Southern Italian food, lots of red sauce, cozy booths, décor which looks like it hasn't been changed in 40 years or more, a total neighborhood vibe, and I love every bit of that!
The food is not going to send you into raptures -- It is more Italian comfort food than high gastronomy.
But in this overhyped and overbusy Hollywood neighborhood, it really can be a refuge if you approach it with the right spirit.
And there is a small free parking lot which is very rare around here.
Just thinking about this place makes me smile :) -

(January 18, 2019, 8:03 am)I used to go here regularly. It's probably the least expensive of the full-service Italian restaurants in Hollywood. The seats are comfortable. The pasta plates come with salad and bread. I recommend.
