H Salt Fish & Chips

Maybe my nostalgia is making me say this, but I have a huge spot for this location of H. Salt. The fish is always pipping hot and crispy as can be and the owners are kind and generous.

I didn't know any H Salt Fish still exsist. One is alive and well in West L.A. it's just as I remembered from many years ago. Cook to order, hot crispy fish and malt vineger on the side. Friendly and excellent service! The pricing is high for what you get, but they offer specials to off-set the higher pricing (which is typical for the area). Parking is very busy and tight in shopping center. Recommend!

I've been coming to this H Salt Fish & Chips for years. I do like eating fish and chips, and this place gets the job done. I especially go for the Triple Catch meal. This isn't a gourmet restaurant, but a small neighborhood place to satisfy those fish and chip cravings, along with other related seafood. The decor is a little dated, but for some reason I like it. It's simple and reminds me of places I went to as a kid. The food is consistent and the couple that owns and runs the place gets cooking the instant you order. It's usually not overly busy, but there can be a bit of a line at peak meal times, which they are good at getting through in a timely manner.
