Taqueria El Jaliciense

A good little place tucked a little out of easy view for passing traffic. Inside are three tables, with another table and chairs set up outside. The place is spartan, often the owner /cook is near the back of the restaurant. He is friendly and gregarious and will go out of his way to meet reasonable requests. The food is standard Mexican fast fare. The meats are okay, but not always fresh. Sodas, water and Mexican non alcoholic drinks are available. They cater as well.

Well, this is the best place in town in my opinion, the people are so nice too. If you like salsa, try their very hot avocado green salsa. Sometimes I just get the salsa in a tub and take it home to eat with everything. No joke, this is right place to try.

Good food and service.

This tiny taqueria is one of the best-kept secrets in the San Fernando Valley. I'm surprised it doesn't get more love. Tucked in a side street across from the giant Lowe's, they make one of the best burritos around, and have excellent gorditas with hand-made tortillas that are deep-fried. What is really awesome, though, is their excellent service. They are friendly, enthusiastic about their food, and can make things just the way you like them. And they will remember you.
