This place was a great little spot for lunch. The Utro's burger was excellent, and being able to eat and look at the boats right outside was a nice view. Definitely worth coming back!
This is a small cafe with limited hours and a long history in San Pedro. It serves lunch 7 days a week and dinner on Friday and Saturday evening. Great nautical decor with many old photos featuring the waterfront. The current location was moved from 22nd St. and Via Marina a dozen years ago or so. I enjoy the tuna melt sandwich and also the clam chowder. Other than the fish market this is the only restaurant left from the old Ports of Call. Outside seating available and ample free parking.
I have been there several times and the service is very good and the people who works there is very nice and friendly. I love it.
I know from the countless memorabilia on the walls that this place was once a center of the community as an unpretentious place for classic, simple American diner food with beer - can't complain about that.
Nowadays, it looks like it needs a shot of life.
That being said the food is definitely like what you might whip up at home, slightly burnt but passable. From the outside you know what you're getting but, hey, what you get is good enough.
Feels like sitting in your own dining area where you can watch TV at the same time as you enjoy ocean views with juicy burgers and beers! Love it!
