Marmalade Cafe - Sherman Oaks

I have been to the one in Malibu more often, but both locations are great. My food was served hot, and I'm a stickler for hot food. The flavors were excellent too. None of the food tasted over-processed or "generic" like many places. Everything had fresh lively flavors.

GET THE CHICKEN POT PIE, it's amazing. It's delicious. It's satisfying. I really really liked it. All the food seems to be good, but go get the chicken pot pie, you'll be dreaming of it for awhile after you have it. Just writing this review makes my brain ask the question "do I have time to stop there today for lunch or not?" What the heck, I'll make time, it's that good.

Pretty good food. Nice environment. Sound level is better than many, so you can have a genuine verbal conversation. Been a while since I was there. Disappointed they don't have their pretzel rolls.

Casual atmosphere, not to loud, kind of a homey hipster vibe without being pretentious. Food was great! My marmalade potatoes were a little dry but maybe they were supposed to be. They still tasted great. Bacon was thick and tasted awesome. It's bacon! Orange juice was the thick, sweet pulpy kind that is heaven in a glass. I tried the kid's hot chocolate and it was really good. Service was excellent. They were there when you needed something, got it quick and did it right. My only minor complaint is the valet parking. We were there on a Sunday morning and it seemed unnecessary. I get it, this IS LA, but... However, our car was waiting when we came out so I can't complain to much. Great food and service!
