Everything is delicious and the portions are huge. I particularly come here for the Liang Pi. How can a proteinless dish be so delicious? The service can be slow at times but there is only one person taking care of all of the tables and he does quite an impressive job considering he also cooks in the back.
Cute, cozy little bar in one of my favorite San Francisco neighborhoods. Cool, to-the-point bartenders. It's dog friendly. The drinks are cheap. What's not to like? I planned to catch up with an old friend and Fireside proved to the perfect pick. It's got a lively feel to it, but still not too loud or distracting. It's an easy spot for the locals but tourists are welcome too. Grown-up crowd and chill vibes.
The Li piang noodles were delicious and the pork chinese mo was juicy.
Worst chicken noodle soup I've ever had. There was barely any chicken, carrots, or seasoning and the noodles were so mushy I was surprised they didn't disintegrate in the broth. Serves me right for ordering such an uninteresting Qin West Noodle when they had over a dozen options to choose from. Still $4.50 for a large soup with some bread and a tiny apple is a great lunch deal. I'll just avoid this variety in the future.
Also tried one of their brownies which was pretty gross. It was so undercooked that I'm surprised it kept it shape at all. Definitely not worth getting again.
In a place with “noodles” in the name one really ought to have the noodles.... I had the shrimp fried rice and Chinese broccoli. It was average. The noodles other people were eating looked amazing. Next time.
But the food was very freshly prepared
