bb.q Chicken Sawtelle

Perfect place to satisfy your fried chicken cravings! Ordered the Ddeok-bokki, Galbi Chicken, and Soy Garlic Chicken. The chicken was perfectly crunchy and paired nicely with the sweet glazes. The ddeok-bokki was a good portion size and is great to share with 3-4 people in combination with other dishes.

i loved the crunch of the golden original and even though it looked plain, it was still packed with good flavor. the gan-ham wings were also flavorful, very different than your typical wing flavors; it had a gelatinous consistency, but nothing an airfryer can't fix. the spicy galbi was a favorite in our house.

They seem to make every order fresh and have good quality ingredients. I was disappointed in the secret spicy chicken itself. It wasn't very crispy and the breading soaked up the sauce and was slightly soggy. The price is higher than other similar stores, but I would be willing to try again someday to see if they can do better with a different flavor.

Updating my review from 4 to 3 stars. The whole chicken is no good. Way too fatty and not as good flavor. We felt gross after eating it. The half with sauce was no good either - not as crispy and unevenly sauced. Stick with the wings

Note: the pickled daikon is only included if you order directly from them, not if you use a service like Uber eats or GrubHub. Thankfully this time since I didn't know and the wait was extra long, the guy working there was nice enough to give me the daikon for free.

I'll mostly excuse the guy who took my call sounding annoyed because the chicken is really dang good. How do they make the breading so crispy for so long and the inside so juicy? We got the BB wings to go, and my wife who doesn't usually like fried chicken couldn't stop eating it. Definitely need to go back soon
