This a delightful place. I've had their beef kebab and chicken kebab and both were delicious. So were the grilled vegetables and rice. There is plenty of balcony space with good views and the service and hospitality are beyond compare.

I have discovered the most delicious rice on both and East and the West Coasts! I live in suburban D.C. and visiting my son in LA. Being very knowledgeable about Persian food, I can attest to the flavor and the authenticity of the chicken and rice here (as well as the yogurt dip). Those are the things I ordered, but I intend to return before my departure and try other things on the menu.
The excellent and super polite service at Chell Sotoon is equal to the quality of the food. The ambiance is perfect, with a beautiful outdoor balcony, replete with a striking fire pit. You get all this at a very modest price. The perfect place to bring family and guests for elegant dining any day of the week. ????????

I am a traveler, coming from Seattle and I was recommended to try this place. So first off, the name has changed and is under new management. It's now called chehel sotun meaning "40 columns" referring to the monument in Esfahan, Iran! The food here tastes fantastic and the quality is very high. My personal favorite was the Ghorme sabzi dish which is the most famous Iranian stew. It is very difficult to make, but it was done perfectly here and I highly recommend it as it reminded me of my childhood. The koobideh was fresh, but ordinary. Nothing special. The barg was soft and delicious. I would recommend this place as it is very beautiful inside, and food is great! Definitely try the ghorme sabzi, it will be one of the best you have had!
